Stowe: Nature's Paradise

Although Stowe's tourist season has traditionally been in the winter, in the past decade this has changed. With town sponsored events in the summer and beautiful foliage in the fall, the town has become a four-season tourist attraction. Now you can visit a number of luxury dining areas and spas at any time of the year.

Winter/Spring

Known as the Northeast's best skiing and snowboarding destination, Stowe is better than ever. With new trails and additional snowmaking machines added in 2008 the mountain at Stowe has become a winter paradise. Besides skiing and snowboarding, tourists can enjoy horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and snowmobiling.

Summer

In the summer you can enjoy the wonderful warm weather and participate in outdoor activities such as biking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, hiking many of the nearby trails, golfing and playing tennis at any of the nearby clubs.

Fall

Stowe is well known for its foliage; you can view the colorful scenery from many of Stowe's vistas and trails. Photographers and painters from all over the world specifically come to Stowe in the Fall for inspiration.
